A fun fact about New Orleans. Is there high humidity where you live?

I just spoke with my friend and band mate Micheal on the phone. He is the one who recently moved to New Orleans.
He told me that a surface crack on his fanciest Martin guitar (worth about $5,000) closed up. Why? Because it is dry in California, and humid in Louisiana. I reckon humidity makes wood expand a bit.
Is the humidity high where you live? Do you prefer high or low humidity? I like the fact that low humidity makes 100 F feel less hot. But I actually enjoy the humidity when I visit places like Chicago or New York.

We have a dry climate where I live. In fact I have been in humid climetes for a short time and get a shock with them. The first time I passed through Panama many decades ago, Ithought I would not be able to breathe.

We usually have high humidity here. I tend not to notice high humidity but Pretty complains about it.

Yes, our humidity is high in the summer. My favorite story about New Orleans humidity is when I opened the door to my motel room one morning in April and the humidity knocked me back into the room. Louisiana has four seasons: hot & humid, super hot & humid, unbearably hot & humid, and February 4-12.

@TheHorse It's cold here now but it's not raining. I don't like rains in winter.

It varies here. They keep track of that on the Weather with the Muggy Meter. Sometimes it can get really humid in the summertime. Have a good week.

Yes. Here the humidity is VERY high, which is something that took me a while to get used to when we moved here from Wisconsin, where humidty was not as bad. It can really make a hot day hotter and any day wetter, for sure. Although here, winters are shorter and winters are colder, but less snow.

We have both dry and humid days. Right now I am hoping the cold goes away at least for a while,

I don't function well in high humidity. It really drains me.
