If y'all remember I used to be an extreme couponer until the stores stopped doubling coupons due to people abusing the coupons.
Well I've been back into using coupons.Yesterday I took advantage of the weekly buy one get one free sale at Publix.
I got:
4 Birdseye voila meals ( buy one get one free at $7.57 each)
3 knorr pasta dishes ( $1.52 each)
3 Lipton onion soup mix ( 3 for $5.00)
1 quaker oatmeal ( buy one get one free - one at $2.30)
2 Hellman's mayo (8.63 each)
Total before sale and coupons was $66.06
After coupons and sale I only paid $23.33 that's taxes included!
Saving $42.73, so I literally paid 1/3.
Do you use coupons?

No, Pretty uses apps to get money back if we buy certain items at any store. She loads the receipts into the app and gets PayPal cash back.

@rakski I've asked Pretty before but don't remember off-hand. When she wakes up later, I'll ask again and let you know.

No clipping really, just watching the bogos and using the app for digital coupons.

WE don´t have coupons here. But some of the items I need are on sale and I buy more. Last week I needed chlorine but if I bought 2 bottles they were much cheaper. I did. They will keep. I also buy oil or rice when they are on sale. I do try not to buy too many luxuries, no matter the price.

@andriaperry In my country it depends on the type of family. Education is expensive here but I don´t have that problem at my age. For me food is the main cost too. The second worst cost are bills like energy, water and technology.

That is excellent savings.
We don't have coupons so much here as we do loyalty cards, and when you download the app for it, then you can load your digital coupons. They give you savings as well as points which add up to money off of your groceries.

Dollar general gives coupons on an amount, one of the Publix takes those as competitor coupons. The I also use the cards with digital coupons, plus Publix has store coupons.

@prowest Try DG's brand of toilet tissue, but make sure you pick up the 2 ply instead of the 1 ply. I did that by mistake one day and was very sorry. Compared to Angel Soft or Northern, it is not bad at all and a bit cheaper. Add that $5 off and BOOM, you saved $$.

Good job! I do all my grocery shopping online at Walmart. Sometimes they will have an online coupon if you purchase 2 of something, etc. Have a good week.

that is so cool!! we have something similar in Bosnia, with store's card you can buy certain products for less money, but you never save that much.
