She forgotten me at last

I raised my brother’s daughter as my own, treating her with all the love and care I could offer. We shared a deep bond, and I was there for every moment of her growing up. When she got married, I felt a mix of pride and concern. While I was happy for her, I also sensed the changes in our relationship. Slowly, she began to drift away, and I found myself on the sidelines.
She was now focused on her own life, and I, unfortunately, was no longer a priority. It was hard to accept. I missed the closeness we once had, and it left me feeling hurt, as if she had forgotten the love and effort I had given her. I understood it was a part of life, but it still stung. I just hope that, over time, she might remember the bond we shared.

@JudyEv Your words mean a lot to me. I understand that life takes people in different directions, and it's natural for priorities to shift. I truly hope that as time passes and life settles down for her, we can reconnect. I cherish the bond we shared and hold onto the hope that it will bring us closer again someday. ??

Things change as we grow. In time she will again.

she might remember the bond you shared, but she is going to have her own priorities, her own family, her own kids. not everything can stay the same as it was while she was a child and growing up.
