Today Was Errand Day in Town

I had a long list of things that needed to be done today and the list was too long to do everything today. So, I chopped the list down to local today and knocked out the things I needed to do here in town. I went to the post office and mailed out Ebay packages and a couple of Farmasi orders. I stopped at the drug store to pick up prescriptions for myself and my husband. Also did a test scan on a UPC bar code I had generated for a gift bundle. It didn't scan right, but she left it for the druggist to look at tomorrow and see if he could do some magic with it. I actually forgot to get my November check because I was talking to one of the ladies that took the month of December off on vacation to spend with her first grandbaby. The baby was due on the 8th. Then I went to the boutique to restock and only Michael was there in the sporting goods section, so I didn't get my November check there either. She was out on my last visit also. Will check back next week if not before if I am passing by. My last stop was at the grocery store to pick up bread. They were totally out except for the coveted $4-$5 a loaf bread. I didn't want it that bad and came home and took a loaf out of the freezer to thaw and rise. I'll bake bread tonight and warm up the kitchen. Than we will have a snack of hot buttered bread! Win! How was your day today? Same ole thing or did you do something fun and/or different? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

As long as you get it done. I think getting the meds is more important.

I bake bread always in the winter. It helps warm the place up.

Just worked online and washed the kitchen floor. I guess the novel thing was making the impossible pie.

4 to 5 dollars for a loaf of bread is pretty much what I'm used to. I'm glad you had home breaf.

I get 5 loaves frozen for $5.25. I keep it in freezer for these emergencies. I use it more in the winter. Don't want the extra heat from the oven in the summer here!

@LindaOHio I did feel better today and went to next town over to do a little shopping. I still need to hit the flea market! But, still haven't gotten a whole lot ready. I do have a new batch of new t-shirts to put out, but that is all so far.

I will do that before I pay that price for bread that has bio-engineered ingredients in it. I don't buy any bread with that statement on it. If it comes down to it, I will bake bread from scratch all the time.

I do okay when I keep up with it. If it stays automated auto renewals) and I add new things regularly and also reduce prices on things that have not sold in 45-60 days, it does good.

You really did alot yesterday. I began my working day as usual, but within a few minutes I realized that it was alot quieter than it usually is. As a result after 2 hours I volunteered to take the rest of the day off without pay, and our workforce management agreed and that was that. My husband came by and he and the twins picked me up on their way to playgroup where we all went and then spent the rest of the day together.

@kareng I have to take my vacation by the calendar week, and since Christmas and Boxing Days are paid stats that would mean taking a week and having a carry-over of 2 days. I prefer taking my weeks other times during the year and just take those 2 days off and we usually knock off early on Christmas Eve. It isn't so bad, and its only during my working years, when I retire it will all be a memory.

That reminds me I have a few things in a Thrift store. I should go see if she sold any of my stuff after paying for the table. I hope you get the rest of your list done tomorrow. We still have to get cat food and we are done for the month.

I stayed in today also. Wasn't feeling up to par. I just don't jive with this cold stuff. The sun did come out today though.
