A very large package arrived at my house.

And no, it wasn't Santa Claus. It was a HUGE box, and weighs more than I do. It was so heavy a guy brought it to the door out of his truck with a rolling cart. Then two guys carried it in to the hallway, and left. Addressed to me, and no return address except the shipper. I was almost afraid to open it, but it was a reputable company. Then I was going to wait until Christmas, but my son wanted me to open it so I did.
It's a new, completely beautiful room sized rug for my living room. I have wooden floors and the area rug I have in the room is a Kerastan, a very good brand but it's got a lot of years on it and starting to look pretty worn out. I admired this one when I was with my oldest son one day, I recall just saying ''isn't that a beautiful rug?'' and I should have known he would not forget I liked it. It's just beautiful, when I line up some help to get the old one out of here, and the new one in it's place (both are extremely heavy!) I will take a picture to show it off! It's going to look so, so nice.
I never expected to get such a nice gift, it's just so pretty. I am so fortunate. It's from my oldest son and my youngest daughter together, such a wonderful present.
Merry Christmas to me!

I honestly do not understand being fortunate enough to have such sweet kids. They do a lot for me, and I know how lucky I am that they are in my life. Thank you, Lenore.

@MarieCoyle It kind of reminds me of the Christmas somebody in my family decided that our Mom had to have a pretty new coffee table. We all shared in the cost.

They keep me going, they really do. When your grown children put a lot of thought into something for you, it means a lot.

I do, too. My oldest son has one made by the same company and he’s had it maybe 5 years or so, and it still looks very nice, so hopefully mine will as well.

@MarieCoyle Very true, its hard out there, good genes as Trump says they can resist. I hate Trump he does have a point about genes. There is something to it. It s better when people go screw genes we seen good people and had good leaders. You a good leader miss lady.

@aureategloom I will get it all in place as soon as I can line up some help to lift things. The rug in that room is made of wool, and extremely heavy. It took two men to bring it inside, and I’m sure it will take two men to remove it.

As soon as I can, I will get someone to help me with it. I am anxious to get the old one out and the new one down, but I will have to wait for now.

I know I brag on them all the time...but it's honestly true, they are good people. All I did was try hard. Others try hard as well, and sometimes that works out, and sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why I was so fortunate, but I was. Thank you so much.
