14 December - What I'm Thankful For

Good evening from a mild, compared to the last two days, Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's currently 33 F. The last two days we were in single digits with severe windchills. Today is a heatwave by comparison. It's also just started snowing and will continue through the night.
Since we last met together, a lot has happened. I've been working on a number of books. I started writing Wilderness Cry, the second in the Wilderness series. I had trouble with it. We had a police officer at Writer's guild a couple of months ago that really helped get things sorted out for this book. In the last couple of days, I made a lot of headway with it. I'm also working on Out of the Darkness. I don't know when I started that book, but I need to finish that one too. Today I ran into another one I started, Project Orion. I put in time on that one today. That one is in the second chapter, so I hadn't gotten far with it when I stopped it for some reason. Most likely editing books for publishing. I'm also editing to publish Faith to Believe, In the Hands of Mighty Men, Love's Illusion, and Guns of War. I'm thankful for the progress I've made with my writing in the past three months.
I'm thankful for friends. I have a lot of friends where I live. One person I've spent a lot of time with in the past couple of weeks is my next door neighbor, Missy's Mom. I take care of Missy most Friday nights. She and I have been watching television together. We also go shopping together. Oh and we also eat together. She or I cook or we buy a pizza, or something from the deli as we did yesterday, and hunker down in front of the TV while we eat.
I'm thankful for the Bible study group from my friend's church. They're a great bunch of ladies. We finally finished the book we were studying this past Tuesday and will start the next one The Awe of God by John Bevere after New Year's.
I'm thankful for my son and his girlfriend. They've been a huge help to me in getting where I need to go also. He wants me to move closer to him and it will happen. I don't know when. I'm on the list.
I'm thankful for my church family. They are a huge encouragement to me.
I'm most thankful for my relationship with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Without Him, I would be lost, alone, or buried. With Him, I have everything I need.
I'm also thankful for you. You encouraged me when I came back with an update. You let me know I'm not forgotten and how much you miss me.
I'm thankful I set up a new and easier to use Website on Word Press. It's spending time there every day that showed me I can do the same here and get the work done I need to with my books. I'm only on there for about an hour. I can do the same here and devote the better part of my day to my writing. We'll see how it goes. If it becomes too much, I'll back off. I want to get two books published next year and I have a lot of work to do on them before that happens.
I'm thankful for the things often overlooked - food, clothing, a bed to sleep in and a nice apartment to call home. Speaking about my bed, I'm thankful for the new bed and mattress. Because I will have a smaller apartment when I move, I downsized from a king to a full. I'm getting used to the smaller bed. It's also higher than my last bed both the frame and the mattress. I need a step stool to climb into bed with how short I am. With it as small as it is, I can't sleep with my stuffed animals anymore. They end up on the floor during the night. So, they are on the floor around the walls and furniture.
Let's see what else took place while I was gone.
I'm thankful for Social Club at the complex. They asked me to speak about my being an author. I sold a total of 11 books from that event. Then on November 2nd, I attended an author event in Sturgeon Bay, an hour north of Green Bay. I sold 13 books. Many to the bookstore sponsoring the event as they replenished what they sold during the past year. It's good to know my books are selling. The indoor Winter Market started in November. I couldn't go in November, but I did go last week. My Writer's Guild has a table. I sold one book. It's better than none.
So, you see, I have a lot to be thankful for. Lots going on here. What are you thankful for? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. A turkey family crossing the road this past summer.

It's good t see thease posts again. For however long you're here. I am glad to see them it reminds me to be thankful.
I am thankful to still have George and the progress he's made. He still has trouble with his words, walking and still has his peg tube. But, instead of watching t.v. in a hospital room, we're home. So, I'm thankful for that. He gave me quite the scare, but I'm thankful that he seems to be alright. He's been asking for food and milk at random times. So, I'm thankful for that. Having my husband back in any sense, is always rewarding. And, even though I get anxious, I always know when something is wrong.

I am super happy and thankful to see you posting again! I think with your new organization, you will make it work! Organization is on my list to do the early part of January! We are going to start the year off right. I think my winter with the Seasonal Affective Disorder will bring a totally different schedule than what I am used to in the summer. We will work it out though!

I’m always glad to see more positivity on Mylot. We need it all.
I’m thankful for my family, my friends (old and new), getting an opportunity to go on a cruise next September, and the positivity here that drowns out the negativity. And definitely for the cooler weather!

How I missed these posts for all these months! It is good to see all these post! I am grateful I am able to small helpful things to people who need helps. As far as the weekend of life is concerned, there are things stacked up and some needs to be completed by December. I need to work on those definitely , so that should keep me busy for the rest of the year. I would be looking forward to bring down my debts next year and would look to organize, plan and implement the things. It would also mean I need to cut down some unwanted expenses and increase income and hopefully Lord will help me find ways. Enjoy your weekend!

I recently got a new mattress too. My bed is a full size. The mattress and foundation are higher too. I use a step stool too.
I am thankful that I am making progress on the little dinosaur I am making for my cousin. It's a needle felting kit. I got it because when she had a baby shower last year she had decorated with dinosaurs. I got inspired and told her that I would make her one. I am hoping to finish it by Christmas Eve. I should see her then to give it to her.
