So, I posted a week ago about how I had to figure out a new schedule.
I finished up the medicine on Sunday!
I went back to the doctor today. While they found fungus in my mouth it is caused by dry mouth. They also found that I have a reactive/inflammatory process also from the dry mouth.
Now, I have finished all the medicine, I told the nurse that I had, and while I did start a bit late on the first day and I never had 6 hours between all of them, there was one that was 6 hours but I was up all night...
So, I was cut free, but he suggested I call my dentist and get an appointment about two teeth. That will happen I guess...
So, now we know, I don't have anything serious going on in my mouth. I did pick up the second of the prescription tooth paste and will pick up the third, should give me a year of this special toothpaste!
Special, prescription tooth paste, I can hear being asked. Why, yes, 3 times the amount of fluoride then the regular ones.
I did tell the nurse that the fungus medicine burned, but I did it!
Now I need to work on brushing my teeth every morning... not that I don't want to do it so much as I often don't need to go right out of bed, and so I don't do it before anything else.
How about you guys? anything good happen?

My mouth gets really dry sometimes too. I wonder if I have that as well?

Kareng is correct, it is a symptom of Sjogrens Syndrome. I mentioned it to my doctor and they asked me some questions then said I really didn't have them all. Like I'm not constantly putting eye drops in. And, while I get dry mouth, it isn't all the time.

Fungus in a dry mouth? I thought fungus needed moisture to thrive. Anyway, it's nice to know you have it licked, so to speak...

Yeah, strange, but then again, the mouth may feel really dry, but you can always get a drink or something to make it moist again. I think what is going on is your gums, and I suppose other things in the mouth, when it goes dry, it is irritated, causing tiny areas to be weakened. Then the fungus attacks.
