Christmas Tree Lighting

A nearby town, Prattville, AL, had their annual Christmas tree lighting a couple of weeks ago. I, usually, love these events. However, on this particular night, it was so cold, my whole body was aching. The smell from the food trucks was also making me sick. I toughed it out, though. After all, I was there with my kids and grandkids and I will endure anything to spend time with them. I hung in there for a couple of hours, but had to cut my time short. I was walking up a small hill, the ground was icy, and my foot slipped. I ended up falling, hard, on that cold ground. I was sad to do so, but had to leave before the rest of my gang. After the fall, I was hurting too bad to stay. I did love my time with my kids and grandkids. I love seeing them having fun and being happy. The good thing was, once I got away from the food truck area, the nausea subsided. And when I got in my jeep with the heater going, the pain began to fade. All in all, it was a great night and I cherish the memories we made.

nachos & cheese, fries, chili cheese fries, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, funnel cake. There were probably more, but I didn't notice. I just saw what my kids bought.

i hope you're feeling good now. food trucks make me nauseous too, when the food is oily

yes, its the oily, greasy smell. I think they probably use cheap grease and it smells awful.

@gnatsmom might be cheap, might be too much of it and might be too many things already fried in it
