I called my neighbor, who answered, but said he was on a trip to Michigan. Well, no sense my asking him if things in his apartment worked. 
. He did suggest flipping switches in the fuse box, which made sense but didn't seem to do anything --though I did manage to turn the microwave off, and am not going to mess with it again. Hopefully maintenance will get here tomorrow and be able to figure things out. I don't know when they're going to come, and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I need to leave a note explaining what's going on. 
. "Good night" from here, and I will "see" you myLotters tomorrow -- hopefully on my computer at some point!

Try the power company you pay your eletricty to unless you get it included in your rent.
