12/18/24 - Update On My Husband

I was able to reach my husband yesterday. The social worker said that my husband's phone was found by the laundry company; and it was not salvageable. My husband fortunately did not ask about coming home. I told him that he was being transferred to long term care and that the insurance company would no longer pay for physical therapy. I am looking into continuing PT for a month if it's not too expensive on the off-chance that he could be strong enough to come home. The new phone should arrive today; so I will be able to give it to him this weekend.
His appointment with the urologist is today. Maybe tomorrow I will have some insight into his diagnosis.
Left a message with the appeal office. Hopefully I will have an answer soon.
I don't know yet what's going on for Christmas. I will find out today if I can see my husband on that day.

Linda you are handling this in the best ways you can. I do wish you could count on more frequent visits. Do not give up. You may yet have some good news.

@LindaOHio That's a good. It can take a while. I've worried about George because he's still largely incontnant. But he admitted he doesn't get the sensation to go. And it's a matter of just getting up and going.

I suppose they didn’t offer to compensate you for the destruction of the phone, did they.

Hope you get some answers after his urologist appointment today and that you hear from the appeal office.
At least with the new phone you'll be able to keep in touch more frequently (hopefully anyway).

I saw the full report. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. He has AFIB which we knew.
