Cat two search on hold until next month

Mylot friends, I had orginally planned to take home cat two during this weekend. When I was at the shelter last week, he was fine and available, for his paperwork wasn't ready. When I planned to adopt him last Wednesday night, I found out he had an eye infection. He would've been ready to come home tomorrow night for the weekend slow introduction with Bailey. But when I inquired about why he was returned on Sunday, since it didn't state the reason why for the return in his file last week, they said he previous owners had claimed, he had urinated outside his litter box, though there was no problems at the shelter. And when I told my brother, he thought it was a red flag, and I had to pass on getting him sadly. Since I won't be adopting him, his name is Mellow, a 5 year old orange cat. Nonetheless, I still plan to adopt cat two after the holidays and by Valentine's Day. When I went to the shelter this afternoon, I added 12 new cats to my previous cat 2 adoption list, mostly male, and looked up background information in their files. Nothing questionable or concerning to be red flags. Since I won't be back to the shelter until the week of January 8th, 2025, I have to see if some will be still there between now and then. I promise to do some catch up posting and commenting on this bitter cold winter weekend.
