A few weeks ago my sister and brother-in-law took their kids to Disney World in Florida for their Christmas gift to the kids. A family asked my BIL if he could take some pictures of them, and then offered to return the favor for him and my sister’s family. When he told them to give each other a kiss for a sweet picture, the kids hid their faces and Annelyn said, “This is not why we are here, people!”
I used to be this way with my parents. They were like honeymooners their entire marriage, and I’d groan. Of course, now, I’m so glad they were that way.

As a kid I hated my picture taken, too. So I understand.

@AmbiePam I know my parents loved each other a lot but except for one photo of them kissing I cannot remember how they were with each other,

Ha, kids don't like to see mushy stuff between mom and dad usually. Funny picture, so How was your family potluck get together? Were the kids there?

I think it's sweet, but you are correct, the kids think it's embarrassing, now...like you, they will remember it all fondly some day.
