Niki Mack and her boyfriend Corey Berebitsky are very grateful that the Cleveland firefighters took time from their busy lives to retrieve a lost engagement ring when the couple were having their engagement photo that was being taken at the Cultural Center in University Circle on Monday December 9. Corey had something in the back of his pants when Niki attempted to lend a hand by wiping her engagement ring when the ring fell into a sewer drain. Either Corey or Niki called 911 to report the incident when photographer Emily Rush witnessed the accident. Firefighters from the Cleveland Fire Department came to open the sewer and retrieve the engagement ring and return the ring to Niki the same day. Link is upi.com/5411733857100 via @upi

That was really kind of the fire-fighters to go to so much trouble to retrieve the ring.

Firefighters are very obliging, at most times, and I remember when we had a fuel leakage, from our vehicle, in our driveway, we called them, as I thought fuel spilling everywhere on such a hot day, was a fire hazard, and they placed sand on the spillage, and advised us what to do next to have the leak repaired.

Firefighters are multi-purpose HEROS. They do so much for the community beyond putting out fires. We are lucky to have them.
