The Power of Prayers

United States
December 19, 2024 6:57pm CST
I'm thanking you all again for the prayers for my aunt. Prayers are powerful. Days ago what looked like dire circumstances for my aunt ( heart attack, medivacted to a hospital in Boston and 2 surgeries) she is doing well. In fact, I almost fell off my chair when she called me this afternoon and told me she was home!!! She sounded good (a bit breathless) and glad to be home after 5 days not knowing what the outcome would be. Needless to say, she still has a way to go for her recovery and things look very optimistic. She's a fiesty lady for all of her 88 years and this is one of the best Christmas presents the family can get. So. I thank you all again for all the positive thoughts, prayers and friendship. MyLot truly is a family through good times and bad.

@Marilynda1225 Getting out of the hospital is great. . . that is where the germs are!! and it is great to have a live in helper for a while.

I was shocked that she was home already but I guess they don't keep you in the hospital very long anymore. Her daughter (my cousin) is a physical therapist so she'll be staying with her mom and doing all her therapy at home rather than having to go to rehab.

She must really be doing good to be home now! But then again, they kick everyone out so fast now. Really sad. I pray that her recovery continues on a forward path! I'm glad you got to talk to her on the phone today!

You're right about them not keeping anyone in the hospital for any longer than is absolutely necessary these days. My cousin is a physical therapist so she'll be staying with her mom and doing rehab at home instead of a facility. I'm sure she'll recover faster being at home

I'm glad that she's doing well. While I'm concerned about George, I know prayers work. Things happen for a reason and it's amazing she's home.

@LindaOHio wow i didn't know they consider those outpatient these days. Guess they just push you off to rehab. Sad

@Marilynda1225 No, they sure don't. When I was in the hospital for my knee and hip replacements they kept me there for 3 and 4 days. Now it's considered an outpatient procedure which I find disturbing.
