It is time for that age old mylot question what are you reading? I am currently reading Close Your Eyes, which I have on Kindle. It is about a missing child. In the book her father was a former police officer and detective with a tragedy in his background. Anyone, I enjoy it. It has kept me interested I enjoy it more than the last book I was reading, although I will go back to it when I am done with this one. It was good, but not as engrossing as this one is. What are you reading?

I just finished reading a book that I never thought I would be engaged in. It's called Stones from the River- written by Ursula Hegi. Very well written with all the little details that bring the story alive. What would it be like to be a dwarf in Germany when the Nazis are coming to power?? The book kept me captive.

@snowy22315 The other thing: the author really put me in the shoes of what it would be like to be a dwarf girl growing into a woman. You're not just small. Your arms and legs are shaped differently. You move differently. In those days especially she did not expect to have a romance like all the other kids and then the Nazi horror stuff.

I’m reading about George Ade, a Hoosier (the state to the north of me) who was a travel advocate and newspaper columnist. He had a quote that said, “Travel slowly and stop often,” which is how I’m living my life.

@snowy22315 — indeed. And consider that he made that quote in 1921.

I'm halfway through Neon Prey by John Sandford. and realized I already read it. Got to a point in the book where everything was too familiar. I try to read his books in series order and I guess this one slipped through and I should have gone to the next one. duh!!

@snowy22315 he writes mystery/thrillers. The main character is Lucas Davenport and he's always tracking a serial killer. There's probably 20 books in the series

@snowy22315 I think she might be English but she did write about the Packhorse Library in Kentucky during the Depression.

Now I'm studying our oldest classical language Sanskrit. Along with it I am learning the history of my country before and right after independence.

I was reading a Nora Roberts book; but I have too many things going on right now to concentrate on a book so I put it away. Have a good weekend.
