Road Trips, Outings, and Friends!

Last Saturday (December 14th), my best friend, her son (the Little Guy), and I took a road trip from Baltimore to Philadelphia to visit one of our best friends. We hadn’t seen her in about three years, so I was pretty excited. The drive didn’t take as long as it did to get to her previous residence, giving us more time to hang out hehe. When we got there, we hung out at her house for a few minutes, greeting her kitties and checking out her new setup. Eventually, she showed us around the neighborhood, and we hopped on a free trolley that was decorated and playing Christmas music. It just took you around the neighborhood, but it was so cute! According to the flyer on the trolley, Santa, Rudolph, or the Grinch would be on at various times, but we never caught them. Anywho, there was only one other family on this trolley. We got off the trolley around the spot we hopped on in the first place, and then we walked back to our friend’s house for a few minutes. Then, we drove downtown to the Christmas Village. It was cute but crowded. I liked the indoor Festival of Trees, which is different decorated trees. :) At one point, we went to a two-story Five Below, where I got a Frosty The Snowman t-shirt and chips, and then we went to Dunkin, where I got a small peppermint mocha coffee. It was so good… and warm lol. We eventually made it back to the Christmas Village for a bit before heading back to our friend’s house. We spent a while in her house warming up and relaxing. We ordered pizza, listened to music, they played video games, and I kept trying to get her cats’ attention lol. It was nice to just chill for a bit, and the pizza was pretty good. Later, we decided to finish exploring her neighborhood. We didn’t stop in any stores, but we did go to a little restaurant/ice cream shop, where our friend treated me to some peanut butter cookies. Yummy! We eventually headed back home to hang out and watch WWE Saturday Night Main Event. My best friend, the Little Guy, and I left in the middle of the show, as it was around 9:30pm and we needed to get home. We made good time though. I think I was dropped off sometime between 11pm and 11:30pm. I eventually hit the hay because I was exhausted. It was such a good day, and my friend is coming in for the WWE event (I’ll eventually explain in another post) and my 40th birthday party. I want to head back to Philly when it’s warmer and finish exploring downtown with her. :) Photo Credit: It’s my picture.
