Another friday almost in the books. George and I are in for the night. We had another good day. He's having a harder time walking around, especially when he gets tired at night, but He seems to be otherwise okay. I need to clean his stoma a little more often, because it's irriated. That can happen, especially with peg tubs because of that bumper. I can see where it digs into his skin. But, I can't do much about it. The goze I use for drainage helps, but it is what it is. I kind of needs to be tight to keep the tube in place. He has a doctor's appoitment right after the new year.

I hope that he doesn't have any further problems with it like infection setting in. Glad he has an appointment already scheduled! Sometimes the wait time is weeks away.

We've had this one set four months ago because the Doctor wanted to look at his liver and make sure it's healing like it should. He was having slight problems with it. Nothing close to liver failure, but just large doses of medication. Doctor's trying to prevent another stroke, without poisining his other organs in the process. If infection was setting in, he'd be showing signs long before now.The redness, while can be concerning, is also normal because the bumper and by extention the goze rub against his skin causing rash and dryness. It's just around the bumper itself, and the discharge is minimal and the way it's always looked. Believe me if I thought it was infected I'd be talking to you from a hospital room.

@kareng I keep scaring myself into thinking something's wrong, but at the same time, I don't think so. If it was, he'd be showing symptoms of being sick, and wouldn't be asking for food like he's been. And, he still enjoys going outside, too.

We'll have to see. It depends on weather or not he has any more urgent issues to deal with.

He will, eventually. Not as quickly as he'd like.

At least he is in good hands with the best care possible. Onward and upward.
