Besides learning the shuffle dance, I stumbled upon this hobby of cake and macaron- baking.
I have the time and stamina to please myself for a good sugar hobby break. Besides missing my mom who passed away last February.
I do feel alone and lonely without my Mom this time around.
I'm going to put an effort to it and roll up my sleeves. Christmas holidays off work has just begun. And I'll do anything Christmassy and holidayie.
The sugar hobby baker caught my interest. She makes the tutorial so easy for me to understand and go make one for me and my Mom on her 87th Birthday on 31st December.
I wish my Mom can celebrate with us this Christmas. Last February 17th wasn't so long ago... And her birthday is coming up on the 31st December.

It's actually a 2-layer cake which I'm attempting to make. Or order if I don't make it right as in the tutorial.

I miss my one and only very best friend Mom so awfully!!! She was always funny, cheerful and motherly....
Peace and grace to you and your Mama, too. I believe they are watching over us from Heaven, as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. I lost both my parents in the month of February too but very long time ago, 1991.
It's good that we have activities that could distract us from feeling alone. When sadness creeps in, it's just bad.
One reason I feel blue every Christmas season and my birthday which happens to be in the month of February, is because it's a reminder of not having my parents with me anymore.
