The Sea of Humanity was at Waffle House this Morning

Hubby and I decided to get a little bite of something this morning before we head out to his family across town to celebrate Christmas. Hubby didn't think he could make it until 2:00 or 3:00 to eat. We chose Waffle House. We chose poorly. They were slammed. Jam packed. We had to wait for a table, but only maybe 8-10 minutes. The noise was deafening between the people talking, the servers shouting orders, the clatter of dishes and the jukebox playing.

Growing up, you never went to the Waffle House because that’s where people would go to fight. It wasn’t until my grandparents took me to the Waffle House in their neighborhood that I found out not all Waffle Houses are in bad parts of town.

Gee, I woulda joined them too..I love that ol Waffle House. There is none around here..I remember them in Arkansas when I lived there.

Don’t blame me. I go to Waffle House as an absolute necessity ONLY (such as there’s one next to my hotel and nothing else within 40 miles).
