Its Officially Winter

Nice and quiet. I had lunch and now I’m home, sipping hot tea (banana chocolate flavor!!!). The days start getting longer for us now!!!

Oh tis indeed isn't it Marilyn? I forgot that the 1st day of winter. Here it is tropical to me..too hot for my liking. Anyway doing some wash up and down the stairs out here. Hope you'll have a lovely day there.

Making cookies sounds pretty good. Right now my overhead kitchen light is out so I can’t really see to make anything. If maintenance doesn’t do anything then I’ll get my dad to do it.

It's cool here, too. I may have to break out the jeans if the wind is strong enough. Hoping I don't have to. But I just have to take trash out. So.... yeah. I'm not complaining. I really can't tell the difference between 59 and 60 anyway.

Today, it rained a bit, and then the Temperature plummeted from 20 degrees C to 15 degrees C.

1st day of Winter? But I suppose you would be used to low temperatures since end October and majority of November as well? Yesterday on 21st, we went to have vaccination for one of our child followed by a visit to a Shopping Centre to have Tea and Snacks and buying a few things.

It is nice that she disappeared for a while and you could get her things wrapped up pretty for her. We went out for groceries this morning together, later this morning I went out and got my hubs a nice pair of winter boots, with fold down ice cleats on the heel, as well as some fresh fruit that I couldn't find with groceries. After lunch I went out to pick up some supplies from the bulk barn, and I made some white chocolate almond bark, and once that is done I will make some milk chocolate crushed candy cane bark and after it goes below freezing we will make up a couple of batches of peanut brittle. These will all be packaged up tomorrow into containers that I bought while out at the bulk barn and the 8 packages are for the parents of the children that the girls are closest to from the playgroup. They are all meeting at an indoor amusement park on Monday for a Secret Santa exchange and my hubs will give out these packages. Funny, I just said to him that my legs are tired. He smiled and said that I have been out more than he today and he can believe it.

We just had a good night out with some warm snacks.

I like the fact that the days will be getting longer now. Boy, do I hate winter. 89 days until spring. Today we will go and see my hubby which I'm looking forward to. Have a great day.

I need to wrap some today as well. I want to vacuum the floor first though and my little one is napping so it has to wait. I hope the cookies turn out great and that you enjoy them!

We have only had a light drifting of snow that disappeared the next day. It has been rather warm here in the high 30s and 40s with lots of rain and fog. Sounds like a nice day. Happy holidays.

We sometimes have trouble wrapping gifts for each other although I sometimes think I could wrap Vince's under his nose and he'd never notice!
