Have a No Beans Christmas

With all the bad news in the world what we need are more smiles and laughter. I hope you enjoy this humorous Christmas story I wrote. Santa’s Inspection and No Beans Santa lined up his reindeer for the year-end inspection. They were all standing one abreast of the other when suddenly a shoving and pushing broke out between Cupid and Donner. Santa shouted, ”Boys, boys, what are you doing?” Donner replied, ”Santa can’t I change places with Cupid this year?” Santa’s face turned red and he started laughing Ho, Ho, Ho as he held his big belly. The reindeer were startled and stood staring while Donner nervously pawed the ground. Finally, Santa got ahold of himself and mopping his face with a handkerchief while tears streamed down his cheeks he said, ”Why, why” and began spurting again. Finally, he managed to say, ”Donner, every song, every rhyme knows the order of my reindeer, you cannot change that.” Donner stepped back in line and hung his head, ”I’m sorry Santa, I know it’s just that before last year’s flight Cupid had eaten a plate of beans!” Santa’s face turned purple and he started to spurt then managed to stop himself and in a choked voice said, ”Didn’t this bother either of you Comet and Blitzen?” Comet stepped forward and said, ” Blitzen and I kept our noses to the wind.” As Santa bellowed forth, Ho, Ho, Ho. Then he went to Cupid and said, ”Now boy, a good plate of beans never hurt anybody; just don’t eat it before our flight this Christmas Eve!” Cupid, with a sheepish grin, replied, ”You have my word on that, sir!” So remember no beans this Christmas especially if you have a room full of friends and relatives Ho, Ho, Ho.
