I just got an inquiry about my JBL L-100 single! A bit about an interesting subculture in the Bay Area.

I recently got a Craigslist inquiry about a JBL single L-100 that was given to me by a musician friend who wanted it out of his garage a year or two ago. I restored the cabinet and placed it on Craigslist for $400, a bargain for a JBL L-100 single.
I recently got an inquiry from someone who speaks broken English. My hunch is that he is local but that his family is from Asia somewhere.
There is an entire subculture of "Asian Audiophiles" in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am not sure how prevalent it is in other states or countries. My Filipino stereo geek friend tells me that many of them are from Vietnam, where the is burgeoning middle class.
Repair for electroncs is way less expensive in Vietnam (and probably China and the Philippines as well ) than it is here.
In any case, wish me luck I would rather sell the speaker to a "local," who would hook it up and enjoy it. But I don't mind contributing to an international business if there is something in it for me.
Should I accept $300 if he offers that?

$300 isn't enough. Try to stick to $400 or $375. Just sayin'!!! Have a good day and good luck.

Good luck with selling the speaker. If you're happy enough with $300 then I guess that's a good price.
