I put on a big pot of homemade Chili this evening and it smells so good. I'm going to let it cook down for about 45 more minutes and then dig in. I told my husband that if he wants cornbread to go with it, then he is in charge of making it. That will also give the cornbread time to bake. I told him that I did my part, I remembered the cornbread. We both usually forget, so it's teamwork on this effort tonight. P.S. Mine looks much better than the one in the photo! What are you cooking or what did you have for dinner tonight? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

There is some marinated chicken in the fridge so I presume that's what we're having.

I love homemade chili! My dad’s wife makes the best homemade chili I think I’ve ever had. I’m sure yours could probably rival hers though.

Oh, homemade chili ! I make my daughter do the cornbread - yah, teamwork makes it all go faster too. I think we're going to do meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy!

It's the Winter Solstice so tonight's supper was treats time though we were not as formal as many Solstice nights.

I’m not a fan of cornbread so I would have skipped baking that too. It’s been probably a year or more since I had chili.

Chili is always good in winter, but if I had my kitchen together like I was hoping to have I would have made some ham stew & a big roast to eat on for the week BUT since I don't, I'm not cooking anything this year he will I guess or maybe not. As far as what I had for dinner ? I had potatoes & onions with 2 fried eggs & 4 slices of apple butter toast & crashed a few hours.

I need to do some roasted or sauteed potatoes with what I have left in the bag! You had a good dinner there!
