Where do you keep bandaids?

My stepson was looking in our kitchen cupboard. I thought maybe he had a headache and forgot we keep that kind of medicine on top of the fridge. He asked where the bandaids are. I told in the bathroom cupboard and got thinking how he lived here for many years and being away with the marines for a few months forgot where we keep them. Then I got thinking again wondering if most people keep them in a medicine cabinet it their kitchen instead of their bathroom. Photo is completely unrelated. I just wanted to share a pretty photo of a vintage toy sled I bought last year at a thrift store and made slightly prettier with the floral decoration I got for free at another thrift store more recently.

That's a cool looking sled. We keep some bandaids in the bathroom cabinet in the guest bathroom; and we have a free-standing cabinet in the master bathroom that holds all kinds of first aid supplies, including bandaids. Have a good week.

@Lindaohio I believe I only paid $4 for it last year. So you keep them in your bathrooms. So far everyone I’ve read on my post has said the same thing.

@Dreamerby I don’t keep my medicine in the bathroom just bandaids. Your actually not supposed to keep Medicine in bathrooms as the heat and moisture makes meds less effective.

@shaggin yeah that's what I am reading too I am amazed by the number of people who keep meds in the bathroom. It kinda doesn't make sense to me

Neat vintage sled! We keep bandaids in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom - always did everywhere we've lived.

@much2say do you actually keep medicine in the bathroom medicine cabinet?

@much2say I know medicine isn’t supposed to be kept in there due to the humidity ruining medicine. So I actually have never known anyone who keeps it in there until now hearing that you do it.

@shaggin We do! We have 2 mirrored medicine cabinets above the bathroom sink area. In there we keep medicines (cold medicines, Tylenol, kids' cold medicines, etc), bandaids (and other first aid stuff), thermometer - I can't think what else at the moment - but stuff like that.

I love the sled! I keep my bandaids in my bathroom cabinet, although there was a time I kept them in my kitchen after my bathroom shelf broke.

@snowy22315 not yet but soon he will be going somewhere to do embassy duty. He will be gone for possibly 9 months or more doing that. Right now he’s doing battle training or something like that I can’t think what it’s called.

@shaggin That sounds like it will be interesting. Hopefully it isn't a high risk situation. Someone I used to work with her hubby did security duty for embassies. (Civilian)They moved to Ecuador at one point and she loved it and the people.

@Judyev it is a cute little sled isn’t it. Some people on Facebook last year suggested I paint it but I love it as it is. I almost hate to pack it away now that christmas is over.

@JudyEv it only seems appropriate for the winter season to me. But I don’t have any good winter decor that isn’t Christmas theme to add to it. Next year I have adorable little ice skate decorations I plan to hang on it.

@shaggin You could just take the decorations off it. Maybe add something for each special occasion that comes along - Easter, Halloween, Valentine's, etc.

I keep my bandaids in a drawer in the bathroom... no place in the kitchen for them. In fact, even though it's a large room, there's not much place to put things.

@BarbaraPrz I don’t have any drawers in my bathroom. Our bathroom is medium size but we have a lot in there like two large clothes hampers.

That's a great sled. I keep all the band-aids and such in the middle drawer by the sink in the bathroom. We don't have a medicine cabinet.

I have them scattered all over the house. Most notably in the bathroom. Makes sense when you consider soap and water is usually there, too.

@kaylachan I assume you must need them fairly often if you have them scattered around the house. I cut myself shaving my legs constantly otherwise I’d probably never need any..

@shaggin I need them often enough. I can get blisters and sores from time to time. A hazard of being a wheelchair user. My hands get more use then most people.

I have the medicine cabinet in my bedroom. I don't know why would someone keep the medicine cabinet inside the bathroom. Is that how it is there? I remember TheHorse mentioning the same in one of his discussions and I was like... what...why would anyone keep meds inside the washroom

@Dreamerby a lot of people do keep medicine in their bathroom but it’s not good to. I have a vanity mirror in my Bathroom but I don’t keep medicine in there we just keep the toothbrushes, toothpaste, contact lens solution, razors, eye drops etc.

I have a wardrobe in the dining room. It has drawers. Our prescription meds and first aid things are in the drawers. We almost never use band aids, though.

@GardenGerty that sounds like a different place to keep them. I cut myself all the time shaving so I use bandaids fairly often.

We usually had it in our bags, because we used it to protect our ankles from the hard shoe materials when we wear sandals or heels.

@luisadannointed uncomfortable shoes are awful. I’ve used bandaids on my heels in the past for that reason as well.

We have all our band-aids & emergency wraps & 1st aid cream in a tote, the size of a shoe box & keep it in the closest in the bathroom where it's handy to get to if need be in a hurry.
