I went on the last day of the book fair! I wanted to buy so many books I found there! From Sylvia Plath to Prativa Ray, from Jane Austen to Ruskin Bond! I also could not cover each and every stalls! There were many photography books, and that too old ones! One mistake I did was I bought a few of book from the first stall I went to!! We should have looked around all the stalls and then should have bought! Or, I should have gone to the fair on the first days rather than on the very last day! I have also this guilt that I skipped buying books from Odisha Archive stall! I felt so poor seeing these buildings of books! Touching and feeling these books made me so sad that we do not have enough of libraries! And books are so expensive!! They made me feel so powerless and poor!

I too, love books and reading. My husband always makes a snide remark when I buy a new one and says something to the effect that "you don't need another one, you already have a library!"

@kareng I envy you! We have gotten reading rooms but not enough of libraries! But that library is occupied by the students and job aspirants!

I´m looking for someone to receive part of my books. Not Jane Austen though (I read it again once in a while).

That is one thing we are lucky for here is many libraries and many more little free libraries. I have no many books I can’t even buy anymore.

It's all a gamble. If you don't grab the books you want sooner, they may not be there later. Sometimes the deals get better towards the end, but by then all the good ones may be gone. When I go to such book sales, I want to get SO MUCH but there is just no way. I don't have any more room at home anyway .

@anya12adwi Yah, for your arms it's like holding weights ! It's hard to strategize these things. Do they hold these book exhibitions often?

It is painstaking task to carry all the books you buy to home! I could not cover the rest stalls whole heartedly! I should have gone the very first day to kidnap all the good cheaper books I wanted to!

I know this happens to all book-lovers! We are just flabbergasted by seeing so many books around that we are on the verge of losing our sanity
