Rude street.

Two street names in Manchester have leaped up to tickle my fancy today, but no way would I want to live in those streets. One is Brazennose Street - sounds dreadful. The other is hilarious - Peover Avenue! Locals pronounce it Pover, but I’m certain that all self-respecting 10 year olds like me revel in the opportunity to vocalise it as Pee over. Wouldn’t you? Would the name of the street discourage you from buying a house there?

Isn't that more of a boy thing? Girls aren't prone to laughing about such things are they? Surely not.

You should have been around when in the capital of Latvia they started changing all the Russian named streets back into Latvian and back into what they were according to history, For a while you could not tell where you were and if you were coming or going

"Brazennose Street" does have a bit of a bold, in-your-face vibe to it—definitely not the coziest name for a neighborhood! As for "Peover Avenue," I totally get the temptation to say it as "Pee over"—it’s impossible not to giggle! ??
