Firefighters in Illinois rescue one cat and two dogs in a house fire

The Champaign Fire Department responded to an emergency call from a resident who reported that the house that they were living in was on fire due to a cooking accident in the kitchen. The fire took place on Wednesday afternoon. By the time that the firefighters arrived on the scene of the incident, the occupants were outside of the two story duplex building with the fire coming out of the front door. The firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly as well as rescue one cat and two dogs were inside of the burning home safely. One occupant who was inside of the building when the fire started was treated at the scene of the accident and taken by an ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the fire.
