When I was a teen I asked my Dad about copy cats. He told me watch this it will explain everything. He was painting his front of his house and he skipped every other board. And left it that way.
It took a couple of days but several neighbor painted every other board on the front of their houses to. . After a week my Dad painted all of them the same color and so did everyone else.
That explained it really good to me.
Being a copy cat can be good or bad. It demands on what you are coping from someone else. I do not want to wear the same clothes as someone else. I want to be different.
I would not want to dol something bad and break the law either.

Bright pink with purple polka dots would make your house stand out from the neighbors.
Although, a nice light blue would probably look better.

@DaddyEvil New Orleans style for you! A neighbor down the way has a dark gray with red trim that I like. A person told me to go with plum but that sounds kind of dark. Plum and red?? My house will be 125 years old in January. Got to celebrate!

that's creative. When it comes to clothes, I chose fuction over comfort most of the time. So I don't really care if there's ten of the same shirt at walmart and that someone out there has the same clothes I do.

@jstory07 Yeah. When I go shopping, I can see ten of the same shirt on the rack, but that doesn't always mean I'll ever run into someone who's got the exact same shirt. But I also think I have two of the same shirt. ANd there were times George and I bought the same shirt (in our respective sizes) just because we could.

I've always wondered why no one paints their homes in stripes. It would make things more interesting than a street of houses all the same color as in new subdivisions.

I notice nobody copies my weird things here.
That’s how we get “fads”: someone wears something different and the next thing you know everyone is copying it.
Have a great holiday!!

I do prefer to be unique as myself, but at times, if somebody does something worth copying, I will sometimes do so, as to ignore something that is good, just because we do not want to copy them, is not good either.
We should look at each case on its own merits, I think.
