Christmas Eve Dinner

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve dinner tonight that our son in law cooked with help from his wife, our daughter Tammy. He made two kinds of dressing (gf and regular), mashed potatoes, gravy, baked ham and turkey. Tammy made sweet potato casserole and deviled eggs. I made snowball cookies, two kinds of fudge, and sugared peanuts.
Kristin made a cinnamon rice pudding. We also had yummy appetizers and cheesecake and pumpkin pie for dessert.
We all sat around visiting and laughing afterwards, telling family stories. I miss playing Santa with the stockings, but no one wants all that candy anymore.
Kristin and David are staying at the Hotel Bennet downtown Charleston, but will be back in the morning to open gifts.
They're hoping to close on a house in Charlotte this month. We all think it's a grand idea for them to host Christmas there next year. They'll certainly have plenty of room for all of us! We'll see, I guess.
Anyway, it's almost time for Santa to arrive here at midnight. Whatever "Santa" brings will be appreciated and certainly valued for God's blessings.

@1creekgirl We only had Salmon with a asparagus and Hollandaise sauce, more than enough.I think we lost the habit to big meals.
