Aftermath of Christmas

Half a cake and leftover biryani await me-a treat I know I’ll relish today! The biryani, a delightful and unexpected bundle of joy, arrived courtesy of my uncle. He brought along three tubs of homemade biryani, lovingly prepared by my aunt. It was a thoughtful gift that turned a cold, rainy Christmas afternoon into a heartwarming culinary experience. The biryani was divine-perfectly spiced, aromatic, and brimming with the essence of home-cooked love. Each bite was a celebration, its flavors mingling harmoniously, warming both the body and the spirit. Paired with the festive ambiance, it became the perfect centerpiece for our Christmas lunch. As I prepare to revisit these flavors today, I’m reminded of how food can create lasting memories and bring people together, even across distances. Christmas, though gone, leaves behind its essence in such cherished moments. Belated Merry Christmas to you! How was your day? Did you indulge in any festive treats or experience unexpected joys?

Unfortunately I spent time alone on Christmas Day because both my boyfriend and I were busy at work.

I am glad you had a nice Christmas. I had my three year old great grandson here. That made the day really nice.

I'm glad you had a Merry Christmas! Delicious spaghetti was our Christmas meal with pecan pie as dessert afterwards.

I love spaghetti too. But east or west biriyani is the best(provided my stomach is cooperating)

@DaddyEvil I won't recommend it to you considering you have gastrointestinal problems.

That biryani surely deserved all that praise you showered on it. I had a great Christmas season both with tha tparty and then my extended family visit I have yet to open all the gifts they brought.
