Did you have a Merry Christmas? We had roast beef! I am relieved!

Am I the only one who thinks, when Christmas rolls around, that I don't want to eat turkey ever again? Happily, we had prime rib yesterday. I brought wine and some little trees. It was a good time. We never got to the wine. Did you have an enjoyable Christmas?

We haven’t done turkey in awhile, thank goodness. Too much went to waste because not many people wanted it. Christmas was a little disappointing because I ended up staying home, but on the other hand, I sure did get an amazing nap!

Napping is good. I may take one with my guitar before I spring into action in a couple of hours.

We have been fortunate that for the last two Thanksgivings, my son in law has made the most delicious prime rib ever. So out of character for us, we always had turkey.. I made turkey that week and most of it I froze for future meals. Traditions are good, but the last few years we have enjoyed changing it up.

I have a sister-in-law who always has a prime rib for Christmas supper when her family gathers. I don't know if she still does that or not, she left just before Christmas for Florida. My husband actually commented last night at supper, that there is just something so right about having turkey on Christmas day. That surprised me because he isn't a huge turkey lover, I think it is the tradition that he prefers. We had a really wonderful Christmas.

Smoked turkey is my usual food-of-choice for the holidays but we decided on spaghetti this year instead. I'm glad you enjoyed your prime ribs. Christmas was quiet and restful at our house this year. We enjoyed it.

You do not want to know about Christmas with Bob sick. Let us just say stomach bug and leave it at that. Personally, I would eat Turkey all year, but I have not thawed one yet. Christmas Eve we had some special Salisbury steaks Bob had made and it was very good.

We haven't had turkey for several holidays now. Am tired of it. We eat enough of it in sandwiches and Subway.

We wouldn't mind turkey - but we didn't have that. I made shrimp scampi and tri tip for our Christmas lunch. Glad you had a tasty Christmas!

I'm glad you had a good Christmas. My husband's cousin made it a good day for me -- visited my hubby, she made us a home cooked meal and she gave me some unexpected presents. Have a good weekend.

@thehorse I often wonder how the words happy and Christmas appear so often in the same sentence, but then I’m just an atrabilious old codger. My daughter cooked roast beef and ham with all the fixings. No turkey thankfully.

We don't do turkey for Christmas. I catered our Christmas since it's just too much for me to cook everything these days.

I had a simple Christmas day and that is enjoyable. With debt and financial challenges , not exactly in a great mood to celebrate Christmas . I am not sure when the financial woes can be solved but then kept things simple and that in way is enjoyable. I did relax for the day and enjoyed the food . Did not get anything expensive or luxurious. And no gifts received or given. I stayed home most of the day and well that was all fine .Hopefully, I will celebrate better next year with better financial situation than what I am at currently. Good to know you had a good Christmas. Enjoy the weekend!
