How do you feel about cheeseballs?

I haven't had too many good cheeseballs in my days. A couple of good experiences with some soft ones interested me. As we move from Christmas on to New Years, I am thinking of making one that I saw online. It is super simple with just cream cheese, walnuts and maybe one other ingredient. Do you have any interesting cheeseball recipes?

Love them! I made a fancy (and expensive) one a couple of years ago for Christmas and no one touched it. It was the Party Magnet from the Deep Run Roots cookbook. Never again for those ingrates.

I haven't had a cheese ball in years! For awhile there they were super popular and then they sorta went poof!! I think that is an excellent idea for New Years!! Sorry, I do not have any recipes, but should be easy to find some on the internet.

I've never made one . . . my late FIL made them, but somehow his recipe notebook was thrown away . I'd love a goat cheese type one!

I love most of them, but tend to really try to steer clear--they are too good! You know how it is for some of us...''a second on the lips, a year on the hips'' yep....I am strict with myself for the most part with calories. I still have treats, but I try hard to regulate that. Oh, the disappointment of walking away...

I like the soft ones. I made with cream cheese, pecan nuts and some herbs (parsley, oregano, ground black pepper, a bit of Worcestershire sauce). You can add green onions or pieces of bacon if you like.

I love cheeseballs! One of my favourite snacks as well as one I could combine with any of my meals. I do not have any interesting cheeseball recipes but you should be able to find the same on youtube or perhaps the internet. I too like the simple cheeseball , the one with no other major ingredients. And then there are combinations with other ingredients . I did see one with even chicken and that was interesting. I would say you do try one and if it goes well , you can post your experience and how it tastes here in mylot. I am pretty sure many would love to try it out. Well, you have a great weekend ahead!
