It's Friday and the end of our holiday week, but the beginning of our weekend and the countdown to a brand New Year!
We are fixing to run out to pick up hubby's new toy. The rain ended this morning and we just have a cloudy and gloomy day left. There was a bit of rain in the area about an hour ago and we missed that, so that was nice!
I'll check back in here when we get home!
What's on your agenda for today? Taking down the Christmas decorations?

We saw lit christmas trees when we were at the va. We also saw that one of our neighbors did decorate their house like they always do. We didn't try this year. Maybe next. We're hoping 2025 is better then 2024 has been.

@kareng Not quite like what we were used to, but it works. I'm happy to see anything at this point.

Been a soggy, cool, and rainy day here, I never put up anything, Kind of scares me thinking this is the last weekend in 2024.

@kareng it's them numbers that really scare me, I mean like I had a hubby and family in 2000 and now we are heading into 2025 I lost him in 2017 and I just am too tired to go on alone,

I never take down Christmas decorations until the weekend after New Years. The season is short enough to begin with.

Christmas decors will be taken down in February in most malls. Have a wonderful weekend.

@kareng Last night I asked him, as I like to do a really good clean after it comes down and get the furniture moved back into it's regular place, and he told me that he'd like to see it up until New Years. He has told me that and then taken it down before that, but I agreed with him and said that is great. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other when it comes down.

It's been misty and gloomy here in north Florida for the past 2 days. So far this morning it's sunny out, but that means it will end up becoming unseasonably warm. I'd rather have the cold, gloomy, overcast weather. lol
I leave for a week of vacation on Monday night, so I probably won't take down any of my Christmas decorations until I return after the start of the new year.
So what kind of new toy did your hubby get?

We have had the same gray weather! I'm tired of it. Bring on Spring!!
Where oh where are you going on vacation??
He got a pump that was in a big box, approximately 5 ft long by 1 ft wide that he will use to take the gas out of the boat tanks. He had a small hand held one, but couldn't resist the clearance price on this one. Hoping the bay boat gets ready for Spring/Summer.

Our decorations will stay up till after New Year. Vince keeps going on about 'the twelve days of Christmas' and it doesn't matter to me so they'll stay up.

I should start working on the taxes; but I really don't feel like it. There's a ton of medical receipts this year. I didn't put up any decorations; so there's none to take down. Have a good weekend.
