Suspicious Activity

Yesterday at work I caught some suspicious activity outside of the store I work at, I told the assistant manager what I noticed. So for around 30 minutes we all were on alert of a possible robbery, the cashiers armed themselves with pepper spray and other devices, I had the office locked. Finally after almost 45 minutes the assistant manager decided to call the police. They showed up fast and I gave a description of the person, however they were still in the parking lot, when the police arrived they left, the police hung around for a bit. Tonight a couple parked by the front door and was arguing, I watched to make sure it didn't escalate, it didn't. The staff, along with the assistant manager took out the trash, came in to tell me about a couple having sex in the car out back. What in the heck is wrong with people, we got cameras everywhere!

People are so brazen these days - seems like security cameras no longer matter. Good of the police to be there to scare those people off (here, I don't know if the cops would have showed up in time). And geez about the couple in the car!

The world is so scary these days. I went to the library today. I walked through what appeared to be homeless people. One guy held the door open for me so I didn't feel afraid. Just felt bad for the folks.

These petty criminals seem to forget that most shopping areas are alive with cameras these days.

Anything seems to go. People seem to think they can do whatever they want. When they want and where they want.

I think that the majority of people have become jaded to the fact that big brother is always watching, and they cannot help themselves to do what they always do. I am glad that you did everything that you could to keep your staff and yourself and your store safe.

Glad, you took proactive steps . It is good to be alert and take cre of suspicious activities. Although we never know if the people in parking lot were planning a heist or not , it ws good to have taken the precautions. And as far people are concerned, there are few who are least bothered if there are cameras or not , they just want to get their demand satisfied. Sometimes they get a thrill by defying the rules and laws in society. It could be a character or age thing. But definitely not something we do if we had proper senses. Well, you did your part nd that was fantastic. Take care!
