This one went down in Korea yesterday. It is unclear why they tried to land with no landing gear and no flaps.
Two flight attendants, in the back of the aircraft, survived. I don't think anyone else did.
Here is one of the reports I watched just now.
Do you worry when you fly?

I never fly once I was done with military. I even told National guard one time I could not make it because my company was buying another company out. They said they would pay for the flight to get me there on time.
National Guard you can do make up days as long as its not when they do their deployments. They said you fine, drive, you will be safer. That's what I did. I will never fly unless have to, plus have all those 911 rules now, no thank you.

No, because I don’t fly. Gallagher had this great line about going to the airport and telling the check-in clerk, “I’m going to San Francisco. Send this bag to Denver and this bag to Cleveland.” She said “We can’t do that!” He said, “Why not, you did it last week!”
There are lots of reasons why I don’t fly. Crashing is one of them.

I haven’t been on a plane in many years. I never did worry, but not sure if I would feel at ease anymore.

@TheHorse Most of my plane trips were with the Air Force. I had complete confidence in their pilots and planes. I know accidents can happen with military flights as well as civilian ones though.

@Tampa_girl7 I am interested in "what goes wrong." Often, communication issues are involved.

I've only flown two times, once in a single engine plane and once in a helicopter. And no, I wasn't worried about crashing when I flew. (The pilot of the helicopter scared me but he did it on purpose to see my reaction after I told him I was scared of heights.) I have no plans to ever fly again.

@TheHorse My first wife, Pretty and I were in Branson, Missouri, and I wanted to go up in it. My wife declined but Pretty and I went. The pilot didn't like taking a 3 year old so thought scaring me would entertain her... He didn't get a tip after the flight and I complained to the Chamber of Commerce in Branson about what he did.
The small plane I was in was piloted by a friend's dad. He flew us all around our home towns and his wife took pictures of my boyhood home from the plane. I really enjoyed the experience. (I was 17 at the time.)

Let's see now planes are falling from the sky, mad dictators are running amok, and Trump is taking office boy and you wonder why I worry about 2025. Did you see my post about the new year? Maybe you can play my song,

@thehorse I don’t worry. I assume all will be fine then I lay out all my important stuff (title deeds of house, will, insurance details etc) for my kids to find if all goes belly up. As a child I was terrified flying because it seemed to me that I had only a 50/50 chance of arriving at wherever my parents were hauling me off to. The came the 70s with all those hijackings in the Middle East where I was flying a lot. Then there was flying in the 80s with Soviet era Aeroflot and it doesn’t get much scarier than that.

I won't be flying anymore; and I'm glad. I'm afraid to fly on the big planes. I feel safer in a small plane, even though they crash more often. Have a good week.
