Today, it is drab, dark, and dreary here in Florida. We are lucky. In some parts of the country, the weather is terrible.

We had about ten minutes of sunshine and that’s it, for 7 straight days. Today is big winds, rain, and not warm. But no tornadoes so I am thankful for that!

@MarieCoyle I read an account of a mother and children who survived a tornado by flipping their couch over and she and the kids hid under it. I keep that in mind because most people in Florida don't have basements

Today was yet another dreary day, occasional misty rain. But no tornados...I don't like those, either. I no longer have a basement to hide in if one gets close, but many people don't. All we can do is the best we can to keep ourselves safe.

We had forecasted that we were going to have heavy rain for five days. But we had just drizzling for a couple of days. Today is Monday and the sky is clear.It's a sunny Monday.I love sunny days.Now days are expected to get colder everyday.

@akalinus No; we have as many as six seasons in our country. Now we have winter. Within next four or five days the temperature will start falling. In the northern part of India it is snowfall. A lot of tourists are there enjoying. The area we live in never has snowfall. I have never seen how it looks when snow falls and the whole area gets covered with snow.

@akalinus It can sometimes physically hurt. But, for the most part, it just zaps my energy and I feel like a slug.

@kaylachan I understand that. Weather can alter the way we feel. I don't do well in the cold. My roommate also hurts when the weather changes drastically without much going on before. Like hot one day and much colder the next.

@LindaOHio, I do not like polar vortexes. I don't like snow. Rain is good especially in warm weather. I made a rule every year. It said there will be no snow this winter. It did not matter. We had lots of snow and blizzards. I moved to Florida instead.

@akalinus I HATE WINTER AND S**W. Rain is OK if it's not cold outside. We have another Winter Storm Watch for this week and a Polar Vortex possibly next week!!! Have a pleasant New Year's Eve.

@akalinus Central Virginia. I think our risk of tornadoes is low..but it is possible they could happen.

The weather is Lake Charles is sunny outside with the temperature at 66 degrees F. It will be colder this evening with the temperature around 54 degrees F this evening.

It is warm where I am staying now. 30C in the morning and 33C by afternoon. You get tired if you spent more than an hour outdoors. Ideally , it should be cool at this time of the year . Perhaps climate change . There has not been rain for almost a month and well there are certain ares nearby which got some rain. Little worried on the upcoming summer. The heatwaves could make things worse and well things should be hopefully fine. Seems, you have a better weather there in Florida. Well, enjoy the time!
