I was taking a nap on the couch where I normally watch TV. I keep the TV on as it serves as a lullaby. Suddenly my eyes opened and I saw my TV on fire . I was mortified. For a split second I was in a quandary not knowing what to do Just when I got up to switch the TV off and go for a bucket of water the fire disappeared. Silly me! I say. It was a part of the programme that was running on TV. I got up and came here to write this post

@allknowing When we suddenly wake up some scenes may be frightening.

I am glad that it was programming. Here there are programs that look like burning fireplaces or candles. I can see how confusing that could be if it was not there when you fell asleep, but you woke up to it.

Too funny! For Christmas here, a station only shows a fireplace with fire - for hours - so you can pretend you have a fireplace instead of a tv. I will be sure to never take a nap while it's on .

I had an aquarium on mine once. Watching the fish move is relaxing and you don't have to clean the thing. I would not mind a fireplace either.

Some things seem real when they aren't. Be careful of that TV and never leave it on when you aren't really watching it. It could be a warning of what is to come. Or, it is just a coincidence and what you saw was not happening. I am glad it was not real.

@allknowing I am so glad it was not real. When you first saw it, it must have been terribly scary.

Guess , most people could be startled by the first few seconds after wake up when they see such scenes. It may take brain for a minute or two to process what has happened. Learnt that when something happens in most cases our instincts take our brain more than processing capability of brain. When we see a snake , we move away from it especially if it has raised hood , than think of fighting it out with available resources. And these scenarios happen to most of us and well it does bring smiles when you do read it. Hope you enjoyed the moment later. Enjoy the evening!
