Happy Monday Everyone! sunshine and decent temperatures here this morning.
We had a white Christmas but the weekends rain got rid of all the snow. It was pretty while it lasted but I can't say I'm sorry that it's gone.
Some good news to start the New Year. Our HOA isn't raising our fee for 2025 which is like the 3rd year in a row they haven't asked for an increase. I was happy when I got the notice as I pretty much expected them to raise it.
Here we are with only one more day before we say good-bye to 2024.
I generally don't make resolutions but this upcoming year I do have a few things I'd like to accomplish.
Do you make resolutions?

@Marilynda1225 - I am angry at ourselves. Why did we buy so many things that we do not need?

I've been trying to do the same this whole past year with getting rid of stuff. It's been slow going but it's mind boggling to see all the stuff I've accumulated throughout the years.

Nope no resolutions but on New Year's Day I look back on all I have done with my writing and blogging in the past year and make plans of what I want to do in the New Year.

Yay to not raising rates! I’m hoping my rent doesn’t go up this year, but I fear it will. That’s okay though, the Lord provides.
I’m not much into resolutions, but I guess, in a way, I made one for 2025. I’m trying to say “yes “ to more opportunities, even if it might cause me more discomfort, emotionally, and possibly even physically. I mean, if it’s a good thing, I can take a few more aches and pains.
Hopefully, we’ll get some snow in January, but I would have liked a white Christmas. Yours must have been lovely initially.

Our white Christmas was pretty especially since it was less than 3 inches and didn't really disrupt anything.
Good for you trying to say :"yes" to more opportunities. I am going to try to do the same and suck up the pain in my knees to enjoy getting out more.
Hope they don't raise your rent (fingers crossed)

No, I just keep my goals in mind. There hasn't been a white Christmas here since 2009.

Same here. I think it was 2009 when we had our last white Christmas.

It is hard to believe that we only have the rest of today and tomorrow for 2024.
Time goes so quickly.
We have reservations for dinner out on New Year's Eve, as we usually do, a nice meal to see out the old year.
I don't make resolutions just at the new year, but as I achieve one I start another.

Hope you enjoy your dinner and happy New Year to you
I like your idea of not making a bunch of resolutions at the start of the year but starting a new one when you achieve one. I think I'm going to keep that in mind for myself

I don't make resolutions anymore...because sometimes they don't get done, and sometimes I don't stick to them.

I have to agree with the not sticking to them. I used to make resolutions and start the new year off gung-ho with it only to fizzle out in a few weeks.

Nope, no resolutions...
Currently 3°C/37°F and not raining at the moment but is still on the agenda.

I make a todo list and try to get most things done. Some have been on it for a few years now

I don't make any resolutions. My Monday was pretty good. My best friend came by to exchange Christmas gifts. I worked on her diamond painting.

I'm glad your HOA didn't raise the rate. I have an ongoing resolution to lose weight. My husband's cousin bought me a whole bag of my favorite candies; so I will have to shed some weight after eating all that!!! Have a good New Year's Eve.

Good to have no raise for another year going forward . And yes , it is better to see it in official confirmation. I do not have ny New Year resolutions. It has not worked me in the past. Nor it has worked for people I am aware of .I see a very less success rate. However, I do work on goals which are short term and time bound. It helps me to improve better. It has a better success rate for me. Most times , people show interest at beginning of year and then gets lost in the dynamics of life. Hope the goals can be achieved. Enjoy the time!
