We've been home about an hour. But, there were things to do once we got home. Not your typical day, but it still works. The appoitment went pretty well. And, we're working on the process of removing or replacing George's peg tube. I'll call and make an appoitment with the nutritionist to see about getting different formula, or cutting back on how much he's getting. I think he's developed an intolrance to it. Plus we need to check out his stomach and make sure things aren't getting snagged or something. They don't want to remove it and find out he's not digesting food properally. So, that's a thing. He'll get the tube out, just not as quickly as he'd like.

I think it might be fine. I mean things are coming out as you'd expect him to and his kidney fuction is fine. Liver still continues to be a cause for comcern. But, we're trying not to trash it while keeping his colorhostal like normal.

@rakski Yeah, we're working on it. I'm hoping there's something we can do to help him.

@kareng I have too. It's not easy, especially when George wants to sleep and be left alone.

He doesn't like it, but some people have them all their lives. George just doesn't understand why he still has it. And, even his nerologist has said, he doesn't know why it's taking so long, but also admitted that it's hard to tell how much damage the stroke has caused. While George does eat daily, if he's saying foods he used to love are hard to get down, (and we've ruled out asperation), then we need to figure out why. If what he's eating or drinking is hurting him a half an hour later, we need to know why before we take out the tube. It was a lot later then we expected when the appotment ended so I'll have to call the diation tomorrow and schedule an appoitment and see what I should be doing. For the tube to come out, he has to be able to eat enough orally and we can talk about removal. I get it. It doesn't look comfortable to have something that pulls everytime you move. His stomach is a bit destended, but nothing concerning. Just normal from gaining weight. And that can usually mean he needs a different size tube. We just have to see I guess.

The doctor's concerned about George's liver, but other than that, he seems to be alright. His kidneys seem to be working okay and his hemogloblen is back up. I think it shows, because George seems to be a bit more energetic.

I hope they are able to discern what is going on in George's stomach.

They will, it'll just take forever. One thing about the VA, they tend to cover a lot more, but it's often on their time. They scheduled the procudure they wanted him to have, for two months for now.

@LindaOHio It's not an urgent need. I have his tube as back up.
