It's 3:31 p.m. here, and I just got on realizing that I haven't posted since this morning.
I'm feeling tired because (I believe) it's been so long since I walked to the food bank and then walked home dragging a full cart. I was nearly home--I had stopped to rest--when one of my neighbors came by in their SUV and asked if I needed help. I took it. She turned into the apartment complex across the street from ours, we loaded my stuff into her vehicle, and she drove me home. All the stuff is now put away.
I went to get the mail, which turned out to be a couple of catalogs with things I don't have the money to spend on. At least there were no bills.
I saw my neighbor's dogs out on the balcony, and realized that my neighbors were back--they had gone to Michigan for Christmas. I went upstairs to say "welcome back", and saw that just the guy was home--he told me he was going to go and pick up his girlfriend at the airport this evening.
He invited me in, and I said hello to the dogs up-close-and-personal, and we talked about their Christmas and their trip (they went through Arizona and the Petrified Forest on their way to Michigan [if I understood him right] where they're from, and he let me pick a couple of pieces of petrified wood that they got at a gift shop to have--they are pictured). After that we got on the subject of books, and I saw on his bookshelf that he had a lot of philosophic kinds of stuff, and then he and I talked about different books we'd read and then he started going into stuff about a couple of the different "philosophers" (or whatever their title was) and their ideas, and that was over my head. I excused myself after a while of that, as I remembered he'd said he had to do some things before going to pick up his girlfriend at the airport.
My lack of sleep the other night is catching up with me--and/or, dragging that cart back from the Food Bank most of the way. I will be sure and get to bed at my regular time tonight.
Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

Yes, it was, but I'm glad I got the food.

I'm glad that you got a ride part of the way at least.

I am glad you got a ride back and did not have to walk the whole way. That is good that you got all of that food.
