I am totally LOL right now. Today President Biden is awarding people with the Presidential Medal of Freedom which I think is the highest award a citizen can receive. Not really sure why Liz Cheney got a lower one but whatevs. . . Today he is awarding Presidential Medals of Freedom to various people including Jane Goodall, Bono, Jose Andres, Hillary Clinton, Bill Nye, Ralph Lauren, etc. Oh and the MAGA cult will love this one. . . George Soros! The statement from the White House includes: "These nineteen individuals are great leaders who have made America a better place. They are great leaders because they are good people who have made extraordinary contributions to their country and the world.” Not really sure how Ralph Lauren made an extraordinary contribution to the world but whatever. The list looks great to me and the inclusion of Hillary Clinton and George Soros is a giant FU to Trump. Hilarious.

Another reason for me to detest Trump: his having zero grace about flag lowering for Carter. This award giving gave me a huge smile, too.

I doubt too many will be awarded by Trump. At least Biden did his bit before leaving,

That's why he likely did it. He's on the way out and going out with a bang I guess.

Hillary certainly deserves it. I don't know much about Soros. Love that Bill Nye and Jane Goodall were included!

@NJChicaa Well I know about Jane Goodall to some degree just don't remember what she's known for. I want to say author.

Yep, he is, quite literally, at the end of his political career. I just hope he gives a pardon to Liz Cheney, and to himself, just to keep Orangeface angry.

Several of those floated for "pre-emptive" pardons have said that they don't want them because that would indicate admission of guilt when they did nothing wrong. Who knows what will happen in the new administration though.
