Want it.

Do you want something and than when you get it. You do not want it or you are tired of it already. Or after you got what you wanted you do not like it or it does not work the way that you thought it would. So than what do you do. Do you use the item anyway. Or do you put it somewhere and you never use it again. Do you ever think maybe I should look into something really good before I want it. The picture is mine taken at the hospital of a cat painting.

I saw a cozy blanket at one of the shops at Magic Kingdom at Disney World that I just had to have. I know without a doubt that I will use it once, and then it will get folded up and put in the closet with all the other blankets I buy that I never use. It's funny, I live in hot and humid Florida, yet I have a fascination with blankets, hoodies and jackets that I know I'll never wear or need, yet I buy them anyway. lol

@jstory07 I have the I Want It virus really bad! It took me years to cure myself of the shoe virus (you wouldn't believe how big my Sperry boat shoe collection is! lol). Now I have a new virus I need to cure myself of.

That probably describes my whole adult life. People preach corporate world and how neat it is to be the top dogs. I know I could if I wanted, the problem is I is did not want it once I saw how it is. I prefer to be poor and trying to live my life my way over that any day, but that is just me. I can do things different because I am single.

I knew I would never want fancy things or a big house. Just give me simple things and I am happy.

I wonder how many people who wanted sn*w here are regretting it now (my yardstick said 8” when I went out to feed the squirrels an hour ago). I find that when I really wrestle with buying something I use it, but the impulse stuff (“Oh, yes, I need that”) falls by the wayside quickly.

My mom said I’ve always been like this. Even in relationships. I did notice it toward my later years. I’m really not sure why some kind of character flaw I guess .

@jstory07 it’s more like I just don’t want it anymore like I didn’t realize it wasn’t what I needed the whole time I wanted it.

When I was little yes, specially on toys and things that I would love to use in school, but it didn't turn that way, its not what I expect it. It seldom happen to me now. But it mostly happen is when I trust someone but he turns to be someone I cannot trust. That the saddest part of my adulthood which I think everyone felt that and experienced that.

Yes I had lots of friends that I could not trust. When they needed something I was there for them. When I needed something they were no where around.

I know I've done that in the past. These things usually get given as gifts or sold online.

It depends on what it is. There are some things I want and once I get, I wondered how I got along without it. Other things I get, I'll use but maybe not as often as I thought I would. Then there are those items that I used a lot when I first got it but then for some reason I completely stopped. And eventually they are taken to the thrift store as a donation.

At least you donate the item so someone else can make use of it. That is always good.

The fact that l wanted it could also mean it was something l needed so if it turned out to be not exactly what l wanted l would still use it.
