Weather this morning

When I got up for the bathroom at 1:30 this morning, I could hear the sleet. Out of bed at 6 a.m. for a THUNDERSTORM. It is still going on almost two hours later.
So far not a lot of wind, though.
Out the front door, I see white stuff. I will not swear it is snow. It probably is what is known as "wintery mix". The back yard, however, has very little coverage. Too many trees and buildings in the way.
I have a crustless quiche in the oven. It has spinach, onions, mushrooms, eggs of course, and bacon. Cheddar and Swiss cheeses. There is a fresh pot of coffee brewing. Bob has just gotten up.
The thunder continues. Many places are opting to close. Many churches as well. Our temperatures are predicted to fall until around noon.
I am warm and cozy and may just go back to bed in a bit.

I just ate turkey sandwiches for breakfast and was thinking about going to sleep now.
It's been raining off and on here all night. We have a nice thick coat of ice on the car now. I'd rather have the snow than ice. *sigh*
Your quiche sounds delicious! I hope you can get back to sleep soon.

A thunderstorm, that is wild. There is even such a thing as thunder snow I have heard. That would be interesting. It is actually going to be 40 today, so the weather here could start with rain or freezing rain I guess, since it is colder in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

That sounds like a day when you should snuggle back to your warm bed and blanket. Stay warm and enjoy indoors. If I have the luxury, I would love to spend such days snuggled in warm bed and blanket doing nothing or just reading a book.
