Like everyone else my age ((I'm going to be 31 in less than a month)), I spend a lot of time shopping for burial plots and headstones. I also contemplate what my last words are going to be.
And will I even know that they are my last words? I ask that because some people seem to know they are speaking their last words.
People like Shemp Howard. There used to be an account of his death, where he said, "It was nice knowing you fellas," before he slumped over, dead.
I say that account used to exist because I can't find it anywhere now. I know that I read it sometime in the past but I don't know if it was true.
What we know is true is that on Tuesday evening, November 22, 1955, Shemp went to the fights at the Hollywood Legion Stadium with Al Winston and Bobby Silverman.
On the way home, the Grim Reaper hitched a ride in their cab and departed with Shemp. If you look into it, that's all you're likely to find because, after several minutes of exhaustive research, that's all Google would give me.
But let's assume that the version I remember was correct. How did Shemp know that he was going to die?
And he's not the only one. I've seen other last words that indicate that the dying person knew that he or she was suddenly dying. I wish I could remember some of them but, at least, I have a good excuse. Did I tell you I'm going to be 31 soon?
Anyway, when people know they are going to dead in a minute or so, they give the most fascinating last words. But how do they know they're dying?
Was George Carlin's "Die Big / 2 minute warning" routine nonfiction?
I have linked it below, too, but I have to apologize for that clip because it doesn't include the better ending ((Where George explains that celebrities get better treatment right up to the end. "You get the standard two minute warning but what I'm going to get is, 'KNOCK. Knock. Knock. Five minutes, Mr. Carlin.")).
With that in mind put on your super high high heels. Because I like it when you're taller than me. Not all the time but sometimes. And put on your your electric blue bikini. That's a magical combination. Then, let's go to Thursday, September 9, 1971 ((That's 9-9-71 because 9 was John's favorite lucky number)), to see what the Cosmic Universal Anthem Song Of The Month Club Anthem Song for today is.
Since we are now only 38 days away from Jack Benny's Birthday, and to a lesser extent, Valentine's Day, for Day 26 of John Lennon Month ((December 8 --- January 8)), we are going to the Imagine album for a love song.

As a hypochondriac, I would like my last words to be:
I TOLD YOU I WAS SICK!!
As I pass away at the age of 108.

I like to think I stilll have just over 34 years to find out if my last words will be "I was right" or "Doh! That didn't work out the way I thought it would."
