Should they have turned the plan over?

I noticed these recently-built houses a few days ago and I can’t help thinking that whoever was responsible for the paths and driveways should have swapped the plan around for the house on the left. On the right there is obviously a parking space in front of the house, and a footpath leading to the front door. On the one on the left there’s a parking space right outside the door and a footpath leading to the window. The two do join up right by the house so you can walk across, but still… wouldn’t you have expected them to be created as mirror images, or is that just me? Love these little 'mistakes'. They do seem to crop up fairly regularly

@Fleura Not in real life, but lots of photos of staircases leading into blank walls or upper fire exits that open onto thin air!

I suspect they just followed the plan exactly without thinking it through at all.

It doesn’t look right, but surely you can’t drive a car onto any of those hard standings? I can’t see it clearly, but it looks like it’s just a pathway immediately in front of the houses. Sometimes builders just blindly follow plans without using a bit of common sense!

It does look like that, but in fact there is an access road the other side of that grass verge.

I would have expected mirror images but you can't fix stupid. Our house is a mirror image to our friends and it always feels weird to walk into hers and try to work out which room is which.

Maybe they have their reason why they did that.

Who knows? Maybe it's one of those things where they followed a plan but didn't use their heads. Have a great day.

Some places are just like that. If I remember right when they built the houses in Waterview back home, they did the same thing.
