No jokes. The plain and delightful truth: postal service between the United States and Canada is working again. Yes you can mail things from the U S to Canada. The strike and all its messes are over and done with. I mailed the final four Yule Tales to my Canadian buddies today. The post office gladly took my money and promised to deliver them to their proper addresses. Thank God.

Canada Post is still grossly behind on their deliveries. My husband had to get replacement government issued id, just 2 pieces of it. It was mailed the day before the strike started on Nov 15th. One piece of ID has arrived, but not the other. It is obvious what is in the envelope, and I hope that they are not holding it because they were ordered back to work. We have only received 2 pieces of mail since the workers have been ordered back to work earlier this year. I do not quite trust the postal service due to the backlog.

@Juliaacv I am sorry your husband is having those difficulties. At least I didn't spend 70.00 for each envelope to be mailed.

Right, that backlog could be a problem.

@sallypup Thank you. We are both waiting on mail. The postal workers are back to work, basically it is work to rule, as they will be in another strike position in May. And there are rumours that there will price hikes on stamps, you are lucky that you sent them out now.

@sallypup I didn’t think to ask ahead of time my fault. We’ve all been sick so I kept forgetting and I couldn’t remember if they went out around Christmas or after New years.
