Did you get a job and take the chance that you would like that job. If you took that chance and you liked the job than you were good. If you did not like the job than you would have to take the chance on another job. That is what chances are about. If you fell in love did you take the chance and get married. That is what taking the chance is all about. Take the chance if you are really in love. When you had children did you take the chance that you would be a good parent. Taking chance is what life is all about.

I agree. Sometimes you take a job because you need it and cannot get a job you enjoy. You still need to do your best. That's also taking chances and hoping it works out.

When you are young it is ok to take chances. When you get older you have to only take chances if you can afford it or not.

Smart well thought out risks are good..the others not so much They can lead to a lot of problems, although you do learn something from all of them.

@jstory07 Except if you break your back or get a slipped disk while on the job one you thought you would like... That is a very bad thing! Hasn't happened to me because I was smart enough not to take it. No matter how flat you make a pancake, it still has two sides;

You are 100% right. I've taken many chances throughout my life and some paid off and others didn't. But, it was all a learning experience

Nowadays I don't feel the need to take chances. I guess when we are younger taking chances and learning is part of the adulting process

I think when we are starting out in life we do take more chances than when we get older.

In 2015, I took the chance to be hired again in the company. I got hired. I know it was not my first option but it was the company that hired. I was hired Feb 2015. The company nurse called my attention - I was told that there was a problem with my xray. Took another xray but failed. Lung problems. The nurse said I need to treat it first. They removed me from my training class. Came March, still don't have a job. Went to another clinic and the doctor checked the xray copy. He said it was only a "probably" so no need for treatment. That gave me a boost to look for a new company. I was hired on March 23, 2015. Three days before my birthday. I am a customer support for a global company in an outsourced call center. On February 2024, that global company hired me as a direct employee. I started with them on March 26, 2023. Overall, I have been supporting their customers for almost 10 years now. I took the job because I need it - I was jobless from July 2014 - Feb 2015. Who would have thought that I am enjoying my current job and the company.

I took a chance once in getting a job. My regret was not saving enough money for myself. as for relationship, maybe never.

I think; we need to consider all pros and cons before jumping over a conclusion. It took me more than one month to resign from my job and have a business of my own. It is risky. Sometimes your decision proves right and sometimes you regret.

My worst "taking chances" were with my first few jobs as a teen. But after gaining experience, I took better chances.

I think it takes faith to take chances, I don't think I will take chances no matter what the opportunities offering me when I am uncomfortable and scared. But when I am young I am force to take chances not because of faith but because of fear, I have so many what ifs and I have to because I don't want to disappoint my parents. Hope to read new blogs from you. God bless.

I took a chance by reducing my load at the College and teaching music at Guitar Center. I am glad I did.

Sometimes we need to consider things, and at other times, we can take a chance on something, and test it out through experience. We should not be reckless, though, and we should also realise that our life is a part of God's plan for us, and so in some ways, life is more choice, than chance.
