Where did THAT come from?

So I pulled a tick about 3/4 full of blood from Emoci's neck today.
Sub-freezing temps for the past several days and over a foot of snow on the ground - weird.
There should be absolutely no danger of ticks during this part of the year.
But there it was.
Surely this is a sign that the End Times are upon us.

End times?! Say it isn't so.
I hope there aren't more. Did you check the boys, too? Of course you did.

Is she okay? I know the tick isn’t, he’s gone back to hell under your foot like he deserved.

Maybe it was in the house. I hate ticks and fleas. Have a good weekend.

Mother nature breaking all the rules and the tick gettin' tougher lol. I'm sure Emoci's thanking you for killin' that free loadin' vampire on her neck.

Deer carry more ticks than any other wild animals...and since you have deer visit for a free meal so often, I imagine one or more of them lost a tick under the squirrel tree...a few deer on a regular basis can infect a yard very easily. Hike yourself out to Wally World and check for flea and tick, yard and kennel spray stuff in a big pump bottle. It won't hurt the cats. It will kill fleas and ticks. Maybe that will help.
