Day 358 – Rejoice 1 Chronicles 16:1 Thus, they brought the ark of Elohiym and set it in the middle of the tabernacle David erected for it. Then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Elohiym. 2 When David finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of JEHOVAH. 3 Then he distributed to everyone in Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. 4 He appointed Levites to minister before the ark of JEHOVAH, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise JEHOVAH Elohiym of Israel: 5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, and Obed-Edom: Jeiel with stringed instruments and harps, but Asaph made music with cymbals; 6 Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of Elohiym. God’s names: Elohiym – Supreme God JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Yeshuwa – Jesus God’s character: Holy Most celebrations include food. People don’t want the celebration to end but want to enjoy the moment with the people who came to celebrate with them. Celebrations also include music. David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings to JEHOVAH, then gave the people food and appointed musicians from among the priests to minister before JEHOVAH in the tabernacle. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you celebrated the moment with praise to Yeshuwa. You couldn’t wait to share your moment with others so they could celebrate with you. If you were in church when you accepted the invitation to accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, the music became more beautiful and personal. The joy in your heart and on your lips overwhelmed you and tears flowed for the joy Yeshuwa placed in your heart. You could not contain your joy, and everyone wanted to join in your celebration. If you were alone when you accepted Yeshuwa, you wanted to tell the person who told you about Yeshuwa and let them know about the exact moment you made Yeshuwa your personal Savior and Lord and entered a relationship with Him. From that moment, the music became personal. You wanted to sing praise to Yeshuwa all the time. You wanted to sing, dance, and enjoy the company of other believers who celebrated with you when you told them about your salvation moment. You were not meant to celebrate your salvation moment alone but with others so they could join your celebration. If you have not accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you can do it right now. When you do, the celebration begins in heaven with the angels and continues with those you tell about your salvation moment. Let heaven rejoice in your salvation. Sing His praise and enjoy the fellowship of other believers. Let’s pray: Father, I know I’m a sinner. I’ve done things I’m ashamed of and want Your forgiveness. Forgive me as I accept You as my personal Savior and Lord. I want to know You and Your love. Help me know You more as I begin my life with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
