10 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a mild Green Bay, Wisconsin where the temperature is 27 F and there's snow on the ground. It's been a good day. It really has. I'm thankful for the time I was here this morning. I didn't get all the notifications done, but I did spend time with you in your world. That's important to me. I'm thankful for my neighbor. I went hunting in the pantry for the one ingredient I needed for my potroast and asked if she could take me to the store. I got my BBQ sauce, a couple dozen eggs, and turkey bacon. The eggs were decently priced for free range brown. Higher than I usually get them for, but only by a dollar, so it was acceptable. I saw eggs as high as $9+ a dozen. So, I felt happy with just over $5 a dozen. I'm thankful for the work I did on Faith to Believe. It's slow going right now as I make necessary changes and revisions to the story. It's coming along well. I'm thankful for the potroast. I used the veggies from the New Year's Day open house. I got it all in, but didn't have room for potatoes and onions. When it finished and I had my first serving and offered my neighbor some. I added the potatoes and onion and mushrooms too. I expect it should be ready before I go to bed. Tonight and tomorrow I'm watching Missy while my neighbor takes care of her sister. She's a good dog. Okay, it's been a good day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I was thankful for our little trip to the mall. I hadn't been inside the mall for about a year or longer. I usually use the outside entrance to the store I need to go to and not browse the whole mall. Found a winter dress that I liked and hubby liked it too, so a big win there! And I got it for 80% off!! Original price was $89.99 and I got it for $16.80!

@just4him I felt good about it. I added a pair of boots before leaving and the total was just $44.xx for all three items that I got! Pretty nifty!

I'm thankful, despite the prtests I expectd to spew from my husband's mouth, he went with me to pick up his meds. And I was able to catch them before they were mailed or returned to stock. I wish the VA gave a person more time to pick up a script, but we got it and I gave him his first dose. I need to give him his second and his blood thinner.

@just4him I am thankful they take care of George's medical needs. I just hate dealing with the red tape.

I understand. However, I love eggs. They're the main staple of my breakfast diet. They're also comfort food when I don't know what else to eat.

Nice that you had a nice day and found less expensive eggs today. We really have to be careful nowadays.

$9 a dozen for eggs? Yikes. Walmart had them for $4.52. Hope you have a good weekend.

That's the highest. White eggs lowest was in the $4 range, but I get brown free range, which is higher.
